Woman Reports Threat, Family Violence 12/26/08 On Monday, December 22, a Giddings woman requested assistance after allegedly being threatened by Terrance Moore - according to a recent Giddings Police Department incident report. Giddings Police officers Steve Spencer and B.J. Connolly responded in reference to the disturbance call at approximately 11:03 p.m. The woman reported that Moore threatened her, numerous witnesses at the scene verified the complaint. Moore was placed under arrest, without incident and charged with Assault by Threat (Family Violence) and then transported to the Lee County Jail. Statements were taken from the victim and the witnesses. The victim's name was withheld from this report to protect her privacy. Giddings Man Arrested For Possession of Marijuana 12/26/08 Jeremy Lee Gilmore, 19, of Giddings was arrested on Monday, December 22nd for Possession of Marijuana. Gilmore's arrest occurred after Giddings police officer D.A Griffin initiated a traffic stop on the 2004 black and gray Corvette Convertible Gilmore was driving. Officer Griffin stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation. Gilmore was subsequently arrested for possessing 2 oz. of marijuana, violation of an occupational license, failure to maintain financial responsibility and driving while license suspended. The vehicle was impounded and Gilmore was transported to the Lee County Law Enforcement Center where he was processed and released. LaGrange Man Arrested By Giddings PD For DWI 12/26/08 Giddings Police officer D.A. Griffin arrested Leroy Rafeon East, 27, of LaGrange for Driving While Intoxicated Wednesday, December 24th. Officer Griffin was on patrol and made the traffic stop at approximately 12:38 a.m. Officer Griffin stopped East for speeding in the 300 block of E. Austin Street in Giddings. East, who was driving a red 2005 Dodge Dakota, was placed under arrest for DWI and for failure to maintain financial responsibility and was booked into the Lee County Jail.
