Two from Lincoln arrested by Giddings PD for drug possession, DWI

1/06/08  Giddings police officer D.A. Griffin arrested two Lincoln area subjects on marijuana possession charges last Monday, December 29th, after initiating a traffic stop on their vehicle.

The 2003 silver Ford Taurus was stopped for a traffic violation at approximately 6:10 p.m. at the intersection of Hwy 290 and Hwy 77 in Giddings.

The driver of the vehicle, Aaron Lee Reue, 25, was subsequently placed under arrest for possession of marijuana and felony DWI. Reue's offense is officially listed as " DWI - 3rd or more & Possession of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone".

The front passenger Danielle Elizabeth Davis, 23, was also arrested for Possession of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone.

Both were taken to the Lee County Law Enforcement Center where they were processed and released.

Giddings woman reports stereo stolen from unlocked vehicle
1/06/09  A Giddings women called police to report that her stereo had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle sometime during the night on December 30th.

Giddings Police Detective Cpl. Lacey Carvin was dispatched to the Windmill Apartments at approximately 12:22 p.m. on December 31st in response to the call from the complainant Raychelle Davis.

Davis reported that her 1993 Cadillac had been burglarized sometime during the night and the stereo was missing. The bracket for the stereo had been removed and was laying on the floor of the car.

The vehicle was processed for fingerprints but officers were unable to locate any that could be used for comparison.  

Davis was able to provide a description and the serial number of the unit. The information was entered into the TCIC/NCIC (Texas Crime Information Center/National Crime Information Center) and listed as "stolen". The investigation continues.
