Lee County Sheriff's Report
Thursday, January 19, 2012
JANUARY 9, 2012
An employee at a local business on Hwy 290 West called and
reported that the lock on the gate had been cut.
Deputy Ray was dispatched and the owner was contacted.
A report was taken.
Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call and only heard static on the
line. Deputy Ray was dispatched to the
residence in Lexington. The homeowner advised
that they were having phone problems.
Chief Deputy Lapham checked on some cows on CR 107 that were
reported to be starving. The cow owner and
also the relative who is taking care of the cows were on scene.
There did not appear to be any problem.
Turner Wire line called and reported that a lady in a blue Ford
extended cab had accidentally locked her keys and her infant
inside the vehicle. Chief Deputy Lapham and
Deputy York responded to the call and were able to get the
vehicle open.
Deputy Ray was dispatched to put up two cows that were out on CR
137 in Ledbetter. The cows were no longer out
on the road upon his arrival.
Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres met with a complainant on FM 180
in reference to a theft. A report was taken
and investigation continues on this case.
A complainant reported that he returned home and found his door
to his residence was open. He walked through
his house and noticed several items missing.
Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres are investigating this case.
A caller reported a disturbance at her residence on CR 230.
She advised that her juvenile daughters had an argument
and the youngest daughter threatened the older daughter with a
knife. Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres
responded to the scene and were able to separate the sisters for
the night.
JANUARY 10, 2012
A motorist reported an abandon vehicle on Hwy 290 West near the
Bastrop County line. Deputy Ayres checked out
the vehicle and reported that it was completely off the road and
secure.
Deputy Ray was dispatched to FM 141 near CR 121 to put up cows
that were out.
A complainant reported that a wide load hit and damaged his new
fence on CR 326 in Fedor. Deputy Ray went to
the scene and spoke to the caller.
A City of Giddings employee reported that they were having
problems with the same goats that continue to get out onto the
golf course. Deputy York ran the goats back
where they belonged and left a card for the owner’s to call him
when they returned home. Later that same day
the goats got out again and Deputy Ray issued the owner a
citation.
Captain Gonzales assisted MHMR at a residence in Lexington.
The subject was taken to MHMR and evaluated and
transported to Austin State Hospital.
Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres ran some cows off the road that
were on FM 696 West near the Arrowhead Storage Units.
Lexington Police Department called and reported that they were
going to attempt to serve a Felony Parole Warrant at the 500
block of Avenue G. Chief Deputy Lapham,
Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres assisted.
JANUARY 11, 2012
A motorist reported two brown horses were running loose on FM
696 East near CR 406 in Lexington. Deputy
Rudolph was given the call but the caller reported that the
owner was located.
Deputy Liles removed cows from the roadway on CR 122 @ FM 141.
The Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call from a female stating
that she had been assaulted on CR 226. Deputy
Ayres and Deputy Carvin are working on this case.
A motorist called and reported that his vehicle had run out of
gas on Hwy 77 in Lexington. He had called
some people but had not heard back from anyone.
Deputy Ayres took him some gas but his vehicle would not
start. The driver called a friend to pick him
up.
JANUARY 12TH 2012
Deputy Rudolph was dispatched to FM 112 after a motorist
reported cows out on the road.
A complainant requested a deputy meet with her at her residence
on PR 5000. She wanted to make a report and
file charges on her son for stealing money from her.
Deputy Rudolph took the report.
Captain Gonzales and Deputy Skinner were dispatched to the
Westwood Villa Apartments to speak to a complainant regarding a
theft. The caller reported that someone took
cash from her purse. A report was taken and
investigation continues on this case.
A resident at Shady Oaks reported that a man knocked on her door
and told her that she won a contest. She
advised he scared her and she yelled at him to leave.
Deputy Skinner and Deputy Carvin searched the area but
the caller advised that the incident occurred approx 45 minutes
prior to her calling.
JANUARY 13, 2012
A motorist reported that she witnessed a white cargo van swerve
off the road and hit a vehicle that was parked.
Chief Deputy Lapham assisted Trooper Weiser in attempting
to locate the vehicle on Hwy 290 West.
A caller reported that her boyfriend was driving down her road
on CR 233 and a kid shot a pellet gun at his truck and shattered
his windshield. Deputy Ayres and Deputy Allen
spoke to both parties involved and an agreement was made to get
the windshield repaired.
Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres spoke to a man who was worried
about his brother and wanted a welfare check on him.
He stated that two days ago a girl threw some type of
chemical into his brother’s face. A report
was taken and investigation continues on this case.
JANUARY 14, 2012
A resident on PR 1351 called and reported that there was a white
truck occupied by a white male parked on his property.
He went up to the driver and asked him what he was doing
and he said he was waiting on a friend.
Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres located the vehicle and one of the
occupants was a juvenile and she was released to her parents.
Sheriff Meyer, Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres responded to a
large fire at the Rolling Oaks Apartments.
Giddings Fire Department, South Lee Fire Department and Lincoln
Fire Department responded to the call.
A caller requested assistance on Hwy 21 East.
He advised that a calf got loose and he would like a deputy to
control traffic while he chases it back onto his property.
Deputy Allen assisted.
The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a woman who reported
that there was a vehicle that was rolled over in her pasture.
Her husband went to see if he could find anyone in or
around the vehicle. Major Casey Goetz and
Deputy Allen went to the scene on CR 208.
JANUARY 15, 2012
ADT called and reported a burglar alarm at a business out on CR
234. Deputy York and Deputy Ray checked and
reported that the gate was locked and there were no vehicles
around. The owner showed up and they found a
utility pole that needed to be repaired.
Dispatched called Bluebonnet Electric and had them send a crew
to the meet with the business owner.
Deputy York and Deputy Ray were dispatched to a residence on CR
133. They called and reported that the
neighbors were shooting off what sounded like a cannon.
Whatever it was shook their house.
A caller reported that she was being threatened by her ex
boyfriend. He wants the vehicle back that
they purchased together. She requested an
escort so that she could drop off the vehicle.
Deputy Ayres and Deputy Allen waited for her to call when
she was on her way but she never called back.

The Lee County Sheriff Office Investigated 1 Burglary, 6
Thefts and 6 Assault Family Violence calls for the Month of
December.
