Lee County Sheriff's Report

January 26, 2009 Home owner called and advised he was out of town and no one was to be at his house.  Deputy Pettijohn went to check on house and locked the house.

Deputy Easley stood by at an inquest.

Caller advised that wrecker picked up her car.  Car is paid off, Deputy Easley was dispatched.

Deputy Robertson put cows up on CR C.

January 27, 2009 Deputies Durrenberger and Crockett responded to a suspicious vehicle at the Greenhouses in Lexington.

Caller reported of trash being dumped on CR 226, Deputy Durrenberger investigated.

Deputies check on a large amount smoke covering Hwy 77 from Lexington to Giddings.  It turned out to be a controlled burn on the Alcoa property.

Deputies Carvin and Robertson check on some suspicious activity at a residence off FM 180.   About 5 am a man came up to his house asking for money to buy gas, then started looking in garage after resident ask him to leave.

Deputy Robertson was dispatched to a deer carcass in the middle of Hwy 77 north of Hwy 21.

Dispatch received 9-1-1 hand up from the Giddings High School.  After trying to call the number back and there is no answer, the information was given to GPD.  PD received a 311 call requesting assistance with a fight.  Deputies Robertson and Carvin and Giddings PD officers responded.

Caller reported a white 2 door car pulled into their driveway.  The people ask for money for Pampers.  The couple left heading towards Lexington from FM 696.  Deputies Carvin and Robertson tried to locate vehicle and Deputy Aderhold went to talk to complainant.

January 28, 2009 Deputy York went to an alarm call on CR 127.

Deputy York worked a case of possible cruelty to animals off CR 116.

Deputy Durrenberger check on a possible accident where a dually struck a deer.

Deputies York, Durrenberger, and Kothmann were dispatched to a residence of a person threatening suicide.

January 29, 2009 Deputy Robertson responded to a cow out on FM 180 passed Dee’s.

Deputies Carvin and Aderhold responded to a report of fires along Railroad track on FM 448.

January 30, 2009 Deputy Robertson assisted and elderly lady when her pilot light went out on her heater.

B&M requested a deputy to help with call of a person they were doing CPR, Deputy Crockett responded.

Deputy Crockett assisted at a scene where a truck ran off into a pond.

Deputy Easley assisted with a civil standby on CR A.

Caller advised that there are people burning a large pile of trash south of Lexington.  Deputy Durrenberger responded.

Deputies Durrenberger and Pettijohn responded to a disturbance at a residence on CR A.

January 31, 2009 Deputy Crockett advised dispatch that FM 141 was being blocked by train. 

Deputy Crockett worked a burglary of a residence on CR C.

Chief Deputy Kothmann responded to a call where a lady in the store is trying to cash a stolen check.

Deputy Durrenberger responded to a burning ban violation.

Residence on CR 107 reported mailbox damage, Deputy Durrenberger took report.

Deputy Easley assisted with an accident on Hwy 77.

Deputy Easley responded to CR 119 where 10 head of cattle out.

Deputies Durrenberger and Pettijohn helped located a suspicious person on FM 1681.

Deputies Aderhold and Pettijohn arrested two persons after traffic stop on HWY 290 W.

In the month of January there were 147 calls for service.

February 1, 2009 Deputy Crocket responded to an alarm call on CR 125.

Deputy Carvin responded on burning ban violation.

Caller advised that couches on CR 221.  Deputy Crockett went to check on traffic hazard.

Deputy Durrenberger went to check on a trailer parked in residence driveway with the tires gone.

Deputy Easley went to check on deer hit by car that is not dead on Hwy 77 south of Lexington.

Caller advised he needs to speak with Deputy Easley about his grandchild not wanting to go back to the father.

Caller advised he needs to speak to Deputy Durrenberger about his children not being care for by his EX.

Deputies Pettijohn and Durrenberger and Lincoln VFD and Giddings VFD worked a house fire on CR 106.

Deputies Easley and Aderhold responded to a domestic disturbance on CR 127.

JAIL REPORT

 JAIL COUNT 02/01/09: 45   MALES: 43          FEMALES: 2

The Lee County Dispatchers received 317 calls for service, a total of 97 persons were booked into the County Jail. The Sheriffs Office investigated 4 Assaults, 5 Burglaries and 3 Thefts and served 35 civil papers for the Month of January.
