Lee County Sheriff's Report
Monday, August 30, 2010
AUGUST 23, 2010
While on routine patrol Deputy Aderhold located an open
door at a local business. The building was checked and
found to be secure. The business owner was notified.
Deputy York was dispatched to Hwy 21 East after a motorist
reported horses out on the roadway. The highway was
checked and the animals were no longer on the road.
Sheriff Meyer was notified of a suspicious vehicle on FM
141. The caller advised that a silver Ford truck was
stopping at businesses attempting to sell generators.
Deputy Durrenberger located the vehicle and identified the
occupants who were released.
A caller reported that his residence had been broken into.
Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched and a report was taken.
Investigation continues on the case.
A motorist reported a maroon in color Nissan Sinatra was
parked near CR 235 off of Hwy 290 East. Deputy Easley
checked out the vehicle and attempted to contact the owner.
AUGUST 24, 2010
The Sheriff’s Office received several 9-1-1 calls
regarding a rollover accident on Hwy 290 West. The driver
was trapped under his vehicle. Star Flight out of
Deputy York spoke to a complainant about a dog that
continuously chases her down the road. She reported that
the actually bit her vehicle and damaged it. Subject was
given advice on how to handle the situation.
A motorist reported cows out on Hwy 21 approx one mile
west of CR 403 in Dime Box. Deputy Easley checked from FM
3403 to the
AUGUST 25, 2010
Captain Gonzales checked on a vehicle parked on the side
of the road on FM 448. The vehicle was checked to make
sure it was not stolen. The vehicle appeared disabled but
was completely off the road.
A resident on CR 118 requested to speak to a deputy
regarding her neighbor’s tearing up her yard. Deputy Ray
responded and spoke to the complainant. No charges were
filed at this time.
A motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 77 South.
A newer model white Ford Explorer was said to be swerving all
over the roadway. Deputy Easley and Deputy Ray were
dispatched to search for the vehicle.
Deputy Easley assisted Trooper Early at the scene of an
accident on Hwy 290 East at the county line. There were no
injuries involved.
A caller reported that a female at this residence is
suicidal. She had reportedly taken a large amount of
pills. Deputy Easley and Deputy Aderhold were dispatched
to the residence along with B&M Ambulance.
AUGUST 26, 2010
A resident on Hwy 21 approx 1 mile west of Old Dime Box
called and reported that someone had damaged his fence and his
property. Deputy Lapham and Deputy Allen took a report on
criminal mischief. Investigation continues on this case.
A caller reported that her juvenile son attempted to
assault her with a knife. She had him pinned down on the
floor and needed assistance. Captain Gonzales and Deputy
Ray transported the juvenile to the Sheriff’s Office and
contacted the juvenile probation officer.
AUGUST 27, 2010
A caller reported that a black 4 door Infinity was
traveling down FM 1624 very slowly. The license plate was
obtained and given to Deputy Crockett. The vehicle had
turned off of FM 1624 just before Hwy 290.
A female spoke to Deputy York regarding problems she was
having with her boyfriend and wanted to get her belongings from
the residence. She advised that he is mad at her and will
not let her get her things. She requested a civil stand by
when she is ready to move out.
Deputy York and Deputy Lapham attempted to locate a
vehicle that was parked on the side of the road on CR 426 in
Dime Box. The vehicle had been there for a long time and
was occupied by one male subject. The vehicle had left
prior to the officer’s arrival.

An anonymous caller reported that people were fighting at
a residence on CR 123. Caller believes there may have guns
and knives. Deputy Ray, Deputy Aderhold and Deputy Liles
responded to the scene. Three criminal trespass warnings
were issued.
AUGUST 28, 2010
Two motorists reported that there were horses on Hwy 21
just west of FM 2440. Deputy Aderhold and Deputy Ray
responded to the call.
Deputy Aderhold and Deputy Liles assisted at the scene of
an accident on Hwy 77 on
Deputy Ray assisted with traffic control at the scene of a
grass fire on Hwy 21 East near CR 440. Lincoln Fire
Department was dispatched and the fire was put out.
A caller reported that 2 or 3 people were physically
fighting at the Sons of Herman. Deputy Ray and Deputy
Liles were dispatched. The called advised that the person
causing the problems and fighting had already left.
AUGUST 29, 2010
A motorist called and reported that he was having car
problems and needed assistance getting his vehicle off the
roadway. Caller was not sure of his location other than he
was on Hwy 290 and East of FM 180. Deputy Liles searched
for the caller all the way to the
A resident at Westwood Villa Apartments called and
requested a deputy because his ex-girlfriend was at his
apartment and would not leave. He had his locks changed
and she got his keys. Deputy Liles met with the
complainant who advised he was leaving for the night and the
ex-girlfriend can stay.
A citizen called and spoke to Deputy Durrenberger
regarding an election sign that was put up on his property
without his permission. The complainant is going to call
his congressman on Monday.
Deputy Carvin was dispatched to FM 180 to put up four
horses that were out on the roadway. The animals were
removed from the roadway.
