arrested last week)Last Monday, December 21st, Isaac Tamayo, age 25 of Aransas Pass, was arrested without incident after Texas Ranger Brent Barina, Giddings Police, and Department of Public Safety Trooper Jeremy Weiser served a warrant at a residence located at 1103 North Ellis in Giddings. Texas Rangers received information that Tamayo was at the residence which is reportedly where his girlfriend was living. Tamayo is one of two suspects in a murder that was committed in Sinton. Angelita Perez Aguirre, 46, was shot multiple times on December 16th inside her apartment. Corpus Christi news station KIII 3 TV reported last Tuesday that Aguirre's two adult children witnessed the murder. The other suspect, Ruben Molina, 27, was arrested Saturday, December 19th, in Taft on a traffic-related probation violation. Molina later confessed to involvement in the murder. A report in the Corpus Christi Caller Times stated that Tamayo was connected to the murder because he left his cell phone at the scene. According to the report the San Patricio County Justice of the Peace Yolanda Guerrero issued an arrest warrant for Tamayo and set bond at $200,000. Tamayo was taken into custody and placed in the Lee County Jail. Officials from San Patricio County transported him back to Sinton where he will face charges in connection with Aguirre's murder. Assisting Ranger Barina and Trooper Weiser were Giddings Police Chief Dennis Rhoten, Capt. Earl Pense, Sgt. Farah Ramsey, and Officers Derek Griffin Jason Strong. |
