5th Annual Word Wrangler Festival slated for

September 10th

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

The 5th Annual Texas Word Wrangler Festival will be held on September 10, 2010.

The Giddings Area Chamber of Commerce will again sponsor the festival which will be held at the Giddings Public Library and Cultural Center. The event will begin at 9 A.M.

The festival brings Texas authors and authors that write about Texas to Giddings for a full day of book signings, discussions and camaraderie. The Texas Word Wrangler Festival is a “Celebration of Texas Tradition,” focusing on the rich history of Texas.  Authors from all genres will be in attendance.  Romance, mystery, fiction, and history are just some of the areas of interest.  We also have cookbooks, children’s books and quilting books available.

Authors who attend the event are chosen through a book selection process. Located in the Cultural Center at 276 N. Orange, twenty-three authors are slated to spend the day with visitors at the festival.

This event is for people of all ages who enjoy a good book. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet the authors and have their books signed. The Giddings Public Library is pleased to host this free event as a service to the community and to encourage visitors to come into the library.

The library will be open from 9AM to 5PM the day of the event and admission is free.
