TV, video gaming equipment taken in residential burglary

A TV and video gaming equipment was taken from a Giddings residence during a burglary that happened during the hours of 6 A.M. and 9 P.M. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010.

 

The incident occurred at a residence in the 200 block of West Richmond Street.

 

Giddings Police Officer Lorenzo Hernandez was dispatched to a call from the owner of the residence who reported that a 42"" Vizio LCD television was taken along with a Nintendo WII gaming system and a single Nintendo game. The items were valued at $1100.00.

 

 

Pickup window smashed, GPS taken

The rear window of a pickup, parked at a local vehicle repair facility, was knocked out and the owners Garmin GPS system was taken sometime during the weekend of August 14th and August 18th.

 

The incident occurred while the auto repair business, Lopez Auto Clinic, was closed for the weekend.

 

According to a police incident report the GPS system was valued at $280.00. The damage to the vehicle is valued at several hundred dollars.

 

Giddings Police Officer Farrah Ramsey, who investigated the incident, stated that there are no known suspect at this time.
