Giddings resident reports two incidents of Criminal Mischief

2/9/09  A Giddings man reported a case of Criminal Mischief, stating that this is the second time he has experienced problems in the past three months.

Chester Jatzlau, of Giddings, met with Giddings Police Chief Nathan Lapham at the Giddings Police Station on Friday, February 6th. Mr. Jatzlau made the report after he (Jatzlau) returned home to find that a rock had been thrown through the window of his master bedroom.

Jatzlau reported that in the previous incident the glass had been broken in the front of the house, in the living room and that the laundry room window had also been damaged.

Mr. Jatzlau estimated the cost to replace the glass, in this current situation, at approximately $600.

The report is under investigation at this time and Chief Lapham encourages citizens who have seen suspicious activity in the area of 800 South Grimes to report this activity to the Giddings Police Department or Crimes Stoppers.
