Giddings Police arrest man for "Evading"

2/16/09  Giddings police officers arrested a Houston man last Friday night who tried to evade arrest/detention during an incident at the Brookshire Brothers in Giddings. At approximately 9:32 p.m. officers Shepard and Griffin were at Brookshire Brothers handling another call for assistance when they were advised that a black male had been "inside the store using profanity and taking off his clothes".

The suspect, later identified as London Paris Hogan 19, had left the store on foot.

Officers interviewed Hogan's girlfriend who was still in the parking lot and she then walked westbound along Highway 290 and began to talk with a male subject who was identified, by Brookshire Brothers store manager Adrian Everett, as "possibly" the person who caused the disturbance earlier inside the store.

Once officers got into their marked police cars the subject ran and hid behind the Shell gas station located in the 300 block of East Austin Street.

Officers surrounded the area and found Hogen who was taken into custody for Evading Arrest or Detention.
