Two young adults life-flighted after rollover accident Saturday

The driver of the vehicle, Amanda Dobbs, 22 and her passenger, Cade Butler, 22 suffered severe injuries when their vehicle left the road during the heavy rain storm. Dobbs was driving eastbound in the outside lane when she lost control of the vehicle and slid off the highway. The car went over an embankment and a large culvert before it flipped and struck a tree. The vehicle landed upside-down on the right side of the highway, adjacent to the intersection of Highway 21 and CR 440. Department of Public Safety troopers and rescue crews with the Giddings Volunteer Fire Department responded to the accident, working diligently in poor weather conditions to free the victims from the wreckage. |
Bastrop man wanted on five Municipal Court
warrants taken into custody by

2/18/09 A Bastrop man who had five outstanding Municipal Court warrants was taken into custody Wednesday, February 11th without incident. Adrian Jamaal Outlaw 23, was arrested after Giddings Police Detective Cpl. Lacey Carvin was advised by dispatch that Outlaw was at the Adult Probation Office in Giddings. Detective Carvin retrieved the warrants while Giddings Police Sgt. Ramsey and Officer Harrison located Outlaw and detained him. Once Detective Carvin obtained the warrants she took custody of Outlaw and transported him to the Lee County Law Enforcement Center. Outlaw was booked on the following Giddings Municipal Court warrants: # 06-1991 No Drivers License, #06-1991W Failure to Appear, #0700254 No drivers License, #0700255 Failure to Yield Right of Way, #0700254W Failure to Appear. Police arrest Austin man on two "Out of Jurisdiction" warrants Giddings police arrested an Austin man on Wednesday, February 11th at approximately 5:06 a.m. when they stopped the his vehicle because of a traffic violation. While conducting a routine check of the vehicle, officers learned that Oscar Sanchez-Garcia 29, had two "Out of Jurisdiction" warrants. Sanchez-Garcia was placed under arrest for the warrants which had been issued for Driving While Intoxicated and Assault with Injury - Family Violence. Sanchez-Garcia was taken into custody and his vehicle, a 1997 Ford F-150 pick-up, was impounded. |
