LEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT 01/06/09 DECEMBER
29th 2008 Deputy Carvin and Deputy Pettijohn were dispatched
to a domestic disturbance on Deputy Carvin and Deputy Pettijohn were dispatched to an abandoned house on F.M. 141. A caller reported that a vehicle was parked in front of the residence. As both deputies pulled up the owner of the residence showed up also. DECEMBER
30th 2008 Dispatch received a call from a subject who reported that he witnessed two white males driving a silver Chevrolet truck steal two cows off C.R. 405. The vehicle was last seen heading East on C.R. 405 at a high rate of speed. Chief Deputy Kothmann, Deputy York and Deputy Robertson searched for the truck. The Chief of Lexington located the vehicle on Highway 77. Both subjects were arrested for theft of livestock. A security company reported a residential alarm on F.M. 1624. Deputy Robertson checked out the residence and everything was secure. Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched to DECEMBER
31st 2008 A caller reported that her daughter called her in Deputy Durrenberger and Deputy Pettijohn were dispatched to P.R. 453 in Dime Box after a caller reported that her landlord had just showed up and was telling her to get off his property and threatened her with a weapon that he said was in his truck. A caller reported that his neighbors that are almost ¼ of a mile away have their music playing so loud that his windows were shaking. Deputy Easley responded and the people turned down their music. A resident reported a blue Trailblazer parked on
the side of C.R. 114.
Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched and dispatcher Voiles reported that
it showed up as an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle out of Several callers reported that a neighbor had a large fire going and they were afraid it might get out of control. Deputy Pettijohn checked the residence and advised them to put out the fire. Deputy Easley and Deputy Durrenberger were dispatched to a burn ban violation on Hwy 21. The residents reported that they thought it was okay because their neighbors were also burning. The deputies went to the neighbor’s house and advised them they needed to put a screen over their barrel. JANUARY 1st
2009 A caller reported that her dog chased a calf on Highway 77 and while she went to get her truck a white Ford Expedition stopped and loaded up the calf and left the scene. Deputy Aderhold is working on the case. Deputy Pettijohn was dispatched to Town and Deputies responded to a disturbance at Westwood Villa apartments. A woman was heard screaming that someone had a gun. Deputy Easley, Deputy Pettijohn and Deputy Durrenberger responded. One subject was arrested and brought to jail. A motorist reported a tan jeep was swerving all over Highway 290 in Ledbetter heading towards Giddings. Deputy Pettijohn attempted to locate the vehicle. Trooper Weiser located the vehicle. Deputy Aderhold took a report of Theft of Livestock. JANUARY 2nd
2009 A caller reported a suspicious vehicle at an abandoned house on Hwy 21. Deputy Carvin was given the information and unable to locate any vehicle. A close patrol of the residence will be in effect on all shifts. Deputy Easley removed a large piece of wood that was in the lane of traffic on Hwy 290 West near Hughes Manufacturing. Deputy Aderhold assisted with funeral escort. Deputy York took complainant about juvenile getting unwanted mail. Report of violation of the burning ban was taken by Deputy York. Deputy Durrenberger went on a livestock call and made 6 traffic stops. JANUARY 3rd
2009 A resident reported that her house was broken into and several items were stolen. Deputy Pettijohn investigated the case and it is still under investigation. Giddings Police requested that a deputy go to a
residence on
JANUARY 4th
2009 Deputy Durrenberger assisted a female change her tire on Hwy 290 West and worked a funeral escort. Deputy Durrenberger and Deputy Pettijohn went to a house fire on CR 112. A caller reported that she was having an argument with her juvenile daughter again and requested a deputy. Captain Gonzales and Deputy Pettijohn responded. The Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call regarding a house fire on F.M. 112. Lexington Fire Dept, Tanglewood Fire Dept and Blue Fire Dept. all responded. Captain Gonzales and Deputy Durrenberger also responded. Deputy Pettijohn removed a mattress and box spring that was in the lane of traffic on F.M. 141. Jail Report Committed: 22 Released: 16 The Lee County Sheriff dispatchers received 298 calls for service for the month of December. No major incidents were reported during the holidays.
